For this year's Christmas gifts to each other, we decided to do something special, like a date! Because of the "Arctic Blast" over the holidays and one thing after another at the beginning of January, we finally got the chance for just us girls to go out. We decided to meet at Red Robin for some lunch. At this age, that's enough excitement to consider it an activity. Maybe next year we'll do something a little more exciting.
What's up with Mikayla's cheesy grin?
We also thought it would be fun to have the girls exchange a book with each other. Mikayla got Curious George (one of Ellie's favorites) and Mikayla gave Ellie a rhyming book - Who Stole the Cookies from the Cookie Jar? We'll have to continue this tradition, too, because both of the girls love to read!

So cute! Love the tradition of exchanging books!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool. I had something like that when Jaquelyn was little. We kept up a playgroup for about 4 years but once the kids started school it kinda fell by the wayside. It also didn't help that I moved an hour away.
ReplyDeleteI really wish I knew people in our area who have kids Rebecca's age to hang out with. Looks like lots of fun!
Ok, so Aunt Kim thinks M needs bows on both sides of her braid. Should I make some more?
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that they have each other to grow with.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Mikayla and Ellie were having a great time. Grammy had fun with Austin. :)
ReplyDeleteSee you when we get back home.
