a bad case of the grumpies

Does anyone else go through those days where you're just grumpy and you can't really explain it? My attitude stinks right now and it tears me up that I'm being such a downer. I guess you could say, I'm having a bad case of the grumpies and I don't like it!! I'm trying to snap out of it...really I am. We're going on 3 days of me being in a sour mood. I bet my family and friends just love me right now. Something's just got a grip on me and I'm trying desperately to shake it off.

As I struggle with this battle of mine, I reach out for this quote that ALWAYS reminds me that WE are the ones that make our life the way we want it to be (with a whole lot of help from the Big Guy Upstairs). For me, this quote will never get old.

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.”

May your day be sweet and not sour...
it is up to YOU!!!

And a little bit of random...

Last night, I delivered the goodies I promised my friend Sarah after winning the giveaway from last week. See!? I didn't procrastinate on this one. A deadline always helps.

Mikayla has her first dance class today. She has been prancing around in her tutu and leotard for weeks now. I just pray that she will walk in confident and show off her moves for the teacher.

Mr. Shaggy got his hair cut on Wednesday....

BEFORE

You'll have to wait until he's in the mood for a picture...for now this is what I've got! It's SUPER short and doesn't even look like my little guy anymore.

It is funny you posted this because I have been having a bad case of the grumpies as well. Normally I can identify what is causing it, but this time I am clueless.
I hope we both snap out of it soon!

I think you need a big bag of peanut M&M's :)

I've been grumpy this week too-a combo of getting up too early for school and a little unwanted friend arriving this morning-I hate being grumpy, knowing I am and not knowing what to do about it.

Here's to a brighter, happier weekend with lots of outside time :)

I love that post! I needed to read that this morning. I hope you get out of your grump soon, maybe making (me) a card will help.

A trip to Starbucks or a good bakery usually helps my sour mood. teehee

I have days {and sometimes weeks} like that too! The one thing that always seems to make me feel better is chocolate! I hope you start to feel better soon. Mikayla is too cute in her tutu and I like Austin's haircut...I like to keep my boys hair cut short too!

We all have our not-so-very-good moments. We love you Heidi and know whatever is eating at you will go away soon. Hugs from the Williams clan!
PS. Maya would be so jealous of Mikayla's tutu:)

I went through the exact same thing this time last week. I felt like everything that I was wanting to go right (even just simple things), kept going wrong which made it even worse. It helped me to get away for just a few days-new environment and I came back with a new attitude. =)

I totally have days like that.
Loving that cute girl in the Tutu. She looks like a pro.
why do haircuts always make them look so much older? Grrrr.

I'm sorry you're having the grumpies. I definitely have those days, but I think recognizing it and trying to change the attitude are steps in the right direction! Hope you feel better soon :)

I hate it when I'm grumpy and can't snap out of it. It's totally like you aren't in control. My guess is hormones...I dislike it when my hormones are out of whack...you seriously aren't even the same person...and you know it...but you can't do anything about it! Hopefully today was better. And Mikayla looks beautiful in her dance outfit;)

I've been grumpy lately too-with no real explaination! It's frustrating. Hope you feel better soon! And I LOVE that quote also. It's so true. Mikayla looks adorable in her little tutu, and I can't wait to see the new haircut straight on!

I have to say that Mikayla is adorable in her tutu! I can't wait to start Alexis in some dance classes, she is all about dancing :)

I think the grumpies come with being both a mommy and a woman. I do love the little quote. I think I will have to print that off as a little reminder.
I hope the grumpies leave soon!

I've been so grouchy lately! I think I need more exercise or eating better. I get tired and grumpy when I don't take time for myself. Hang in there Mama.

Septembers craft challenge is a halloween theme then right? ;) awesome!

Oh, Heidi!
I swear you are my twin! I've been so out of sorts and just totally funky this past week. I think for me it has to do with Summer ending, trying to get back into the routine of school and just being overwhelmed with so many things I want and need to accomplish.

I wanted to ask you...where can I get a BIG scallop punch like you have? I want one for some different things and I've looked around town and can't find a decent sized one. Any ideas?

You can email me: MyFragrantLife@verizon.net or leave me a comment on the blog.

Have a blessed day!!!

I'm sorry you have the grumpies. I think it happens to all of us from time to time. I know you'll snap out of it, you have one of the best attitudes of anyone I know!
