let's paint!

OK, be honest. Who shutters when they hear these words from their kids, "Mom, I want to paint!" I cringe, but I still allow it because I know that painting is a part of childhood. For her birthday in April, Mikayla got some fun paint markers that I recently found in the art cabinet after giving it a good cleaning and decided to give them a try. Why hadn't I done this sooner?! Have you ever heard of Crafty Dab Paint Markers? They are fabulous! The kids love them and even Austin can use them without making a mess! Now, that's saying something. What's even better is that these particular ones that we own are scented. Not only do they smell good, but we have the shimmery kind, too, so they sparkle on the page. These paint markers are so easy to use and with no paintbrushes or water they are a snap to clean up. I highly recommend these if you aren't a fan of having paint around the house for your kids to "experiment" with. They are non-toxic and washable! OK, now I'm beginning to sound like a salesman. Sure wish I could get me some free stuff for spreading the love. *wink*

Are craft dabs not your most favorite thing in the craft cabinet now? As I am typing I spy a set of them hanging around at the end of my kitchen table. We have three sets at this house and they are being used all the time! The shimmery ones are Madison's favorite but we have the plain ones too!

Yes, I cringe when I hear paint :) We had some of the dabbers but I had forgotten all about them. I'll have to get some more-good present idea! Thanks.

Ha! I do cringe when I hear that...and my kids LOVE to paint. I'm getting better about allowing the paint. I will have to look into these...thanks for sharing.

I will have to try them. Those look so cool. My kids would love them. I hate using the old paint brushes and paints. Messy.

Paint scares me! I bought some paint things similar to those thinking they would be a nice clean way for the boys to paint. The box is still in the cabinet...I haven't gotten brave enough to pull them out yet! Maybe soon!

I like that they come in their own storage case! Thanks - I am going to get some for a birthday gift.

Paint time is never fun for mommies I don't think. Last time we did it I resorted to moving everything to the backyard with hopes that we could just mow or spray-down the mess. Turns out I am STILL finding paint in our yard...most recently on our fence;)

I love to paint and have tried with my 2 year old. These would be easier to use that is for sure. Thanks for the tip!

I like these. Nice and orderly :) I have when they ask to paint but, same as you, I cringe. Nice to hear that they have glittery ones as well....I may have to hunt these down!
