Yesterday, I tackled clearing up my creative space so I can be creative and productive! As I was cleaning up all the piles, I realized just how much scrap paper I had leftover from project after project!
For Works For Me Wednesday, I thought I would share my quick and easy tip for those who are crafty and can't bare to toss the leftover scraps of paper for what could possibly be used to create something in the future.
I started organizing the leftover scrap paper by color years ago, especially so I could use them for creating greeting cards because most of the time I only needed small pieces of paper. There are many systems you could use, but mine is the cheap version. I just took gallon-sized Ziploc bags and separated out the colors. For awhile these bags were just floating around as I tried to cram them in different places that I thought might work, but I finally found something yesterday to put them all in to contain the bags.
I just so happen to have a place for this right under the desk and I still have space for my legs when I am sitting.
This simple system works for me! And it also helps me to get motivated to create cards because everything is organized and easily accessible.

That's a good idea. I love how you have everything labeled.
You are so organized. It is really awesome. Our house is always cluttered and chaotic. I took a picture of my desk yesterday so I could do a tackle it Tuesday but that's as far as I got with that. Maybe by next week I can have it finished.
Very nice! I started making cards a couple years ago and a SIL who saw I needed some organizing help got me an accordion file for Christmas. I've been trying to corral all my scraps and put them in there, by color of course, and it's been working really well. The file would be too small for your needs, though!
Cute idea... when I get to that many scraps I'll have to use your idea too. Right now I use them up as I make them since I primarily make cards and haven't done the scrapping that I would like.
Good idea!
This is much better than going through all those misshapen pieces of scrap to find one color. Good idea!
Good idea! I have scrap paper all crammed in a box and it's a nightmare!
What a great idea. You always have the best - simple ideas for organizing. I just need to motivate myself to get started!
This is a wonderful idea! I hate to throw my scraps away. They end up contributing to my mess. This is a great solution.
