pumpkin patch tradition

For the last couple of years, we have visited Baggenstos Farms with the Newton family for a trip to the pumpkin patch. Tygh & Ambria have a little girl, Ellie, who is just 2 months older than Mikayla. Ambria & I were friends during our college days while working at a summer camp as staff members. We reconnected again while we were both pregnant and graduating with our Masters degree at George Fox University. It was then that we realized that we even lived in the same town! From almost the day the two girls met, we have done many things together both as families, and also as mommies and daughters. The girls love each other so much and constantly talk about one another. It's so nice having someone in the same town who is willing to take a little munchkin (or two!) if I need to run an errand or make an appointment. It's also a bonus that not only do Ambria and I get along well, but the hubbies do, too! That's always a blessing.

So, without even planning it, we've begun a tradition that we hopefully can continue in the future...even as our families get bigger. We're just hoping that Austin will have a little friend one of these days!

Looking back, it's so amazing to see how big our little girls have gotten in one short year.
The time sure does fly by fast!

This year, the girls let Austin join in on the fun, too!
